Search engines, directories and meta-search engines
Claims to be "the largest human-edited directory on the web" and they may be right. It's certainly worth exploring. Sites are suggested by the general public and the editors are volunteers, so there may be inconsistencies or links to less worthy sites - but there's gold there too! rated one of the best all-purpose search-engines available; if you want to, you can restrict by language, date etc. Can also search for images, URLs and areas which other search engines may not reach. Simple but good; note the context of your search term(s) to see if the hit could be relevant. Google Türkçe arama yapabiliyor. searches the web for pdf files; gives a summary of the file, letting you know whether this is the one you want to download! Choose the search engines you want to search, choose how many hits per page. Choose your search engine, including regional and topical search engines; the site includes useful tips for internet searching. Also includes tips on promoting one's site and getting search engines to find it.
